I DID delete it, according to your instructions. I can’t PROVE it of course, but I’ve had to knock out themes this way many times. They just don’t go away sometimes!
Great! Now I think your problems are over. You can put on your plugins, widgets, etc. without any problems.

Thanks so much for your help – it’s been a long afternoon, but, I think (hope) this is the final hurdle.
In one of your notes, I got the idea you’re in the UK. I’m planning ‘the trip of a lifetime’ to England/Scotland, hopefully for September 2014 (at the earliest). I’m about half-English by heritage and as a writer, I’m using locales in both countries – especially a small island in a lake on the Isle of Mull – that’s where my character has a castle … he’s the Duke of Muileach. I hope to spend a month there, if the trip happens at all.
I’m in southwest Florida, USA, btw.

I am 100% Indian and live in New Delhi, India. Though I have not visited Florida, it is one of my dream destinations next. Anyway, it makes no difference as long as we are humans, cultured and cooperate like this as we do in this great community called WordPress.

I was going by the way you said stuff … one was ‘straightaway.’ That’s English … and English English is alive and well in India.
It makes absolutely no difference to me. I am a mish-mash myself. I’m half-English on both sides of my family, but I’m also Dutch on my father’s side, and Swedish on my mother’s side, with a smattering of other nationalities thrown in for good measure. I call myself a ‘good ol’ North American Mutt.’ Oh, I also have a little American Indian thrown in – 3 different northeastern tribes.
I know Europeans don’t understand the ‘North American Mutt’ thing. But, the USA is a world’s melting pot so any family that’s been here a while is largely ‘MUTT.’ LOL

Again, thanks so much for your help – and your patience. I must seem a bit strange to you. On one hand, that Theme replacing process … then, I dive into GoDaddy’s servers like nothing. Let me tell you … the first time I dove into GoDaddy’s servers, I was TERRIFIED! The next time I talked with a CSR at GoDaddy, I told him that I’d been in their server (by then, several times, and that GoDaddy hadn’t crashed because I’d been there, so that was a crowning accomplishment for myself.
I have hours of original content to write (I’ll do it mostly in Word,, then cut-paste into WP – I wish WP’s editor was more like Word). My ‘scheduled’ Grand Opening (when I switch from my old .com blog to this one) is 9/24, so, I’ve got plenty of time to spiffy it up nice.
Anyway, thanks again for the help – and the patience. I appreciate it more than you know …
