• Hi all.

I’ve just set up a new blog at http://www.robertsalomon.biz and I’ve noticed that whenever a post is viewed as a permalink, the widgets on the right hand side disappear, leaving the post only centered.

Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this so that every page looks exactly like the main blog page?

    Thanks!

Hi, just bumping this back up. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Mike

I gathered from other threads that the default wordpress theme leads to this problem… and that modifications are needed — either switching themes or, maybe, installing a plug-in.

Can someone identify a simple plug-in that would solve this problem?

    THANKS MUCH.

there is no plugin thats going to fix that. The single post view in the default theme removes the sidebar.

if you want the sidebar, you edit the current them,or find one that has a sidebar on all pages.

Thanks much for ruling out plugins as any kind of possible solution.

To support full resolution of this thread… can you help rule-in any advice on theme editing to keep the widgets on permalinks (on the default theme)?

    THANKS.

i would rule-in finding a theme that does suit your requirements instead. Most themes DO have sidebars on ‘single post view’. (Just not the default.)

you could try removing the single.php from it and see how that suits.
