Widgets and widget page broken

    After loading a new template and doing several “previews” from the admin area, I find the widget page is inoperable – I can’t drag widgets to positions on the sidebar. All the widgets in my former live site are not listed as loading, yet they appear at the bottom of my page.

    I really don’t know what caused the problem or how to fix it. Please help.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
