After updating to version 4.2, I see a banner at the top of each dashboard page that says:

Widget Options – Display Logic Migration Required

“Some widgets still use legacy inline display logic code that needs to be migrated to the new snippet-based system.”

This banner can not be closed (removed).

    —–

When I click the button “Go to Migration Page”, it takes me to: /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=widgetopts_migration

Which shows a blank page that says: “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

I am logged in as the admin. I think the problem might be that I do not use “Display Logic”. That widget option is not active or used for my site.

  • Thank you for the quick response,

I understand, but I do not know how to update to 4.2.0, as the only options is to update to 4.1.3. See info copied from my Plugin page below.

    1. Should I wait until March 13, for the system to update?

    2. Should I update to 4.1.3 before it will allow me to update to 4.2.0 ?

    Widget Options

Current Version 4.0.9 | By Widget Options Team | View details

There is a new version of Widget Options available. View version 4.1.3 details or update now.

Sorry, I was able to update from the dashboard. Not the plugin page.

Everything is working correctly, and I do not have any Snippet  that I am using.

Also, I did not design my sight and I do not understand coding.

Since everything is working correctly, do I need to make anymore changes?

    Hey @norwood451,

We’re glad to hear that you were able to update through your dashboard. You don’t need to make any additional changes on your website, as the latest version includes major updates to the Display Logic System.

Regarding your query, @mystercp, we’ve already relayed your request to our development team to add a close button to the migration notice.

Let us know if you need anything else!

    Kind Regards,
    Mej, Widget Options Team
