Widget not working

All of sudden the simple widget Home Banner, Home Intro and Home features aren’t working. They were working fine and just died in the middle of building my website. I thought I might have messed up the configuration somewhere along the lines. Uninstalled WP and re-installed. Added the theme Church +. I tried adding slider, images and text to the widgets, but they do not show up on any of the pages. What is strange is if I add the same to the sidebars and footer it works.

I switched theme to 2016 and added slider to content area. It works. I sent an email to the church + developer, but no response yet.

Any ideas what may be going on?
