Widget not showing additional dates

Hi,
I’m having trouble with the side widget of the calendar to show the additional dates of an event. We are using the Posterboard display of events and each event has the the start and end date that last for 2-3 days. With this solution on the front end you have only one post with the start/end date that looks great but unfortunately it doesn’t reflect the repeat dates in the side widget. Is there a solution for this? It’s confusing not to see all the show dates of the event in the widget calendar.

The only way we’ve managed to fix this is by checking off the repeat event box option, but with this solution we get multiple posts on the Posterboard that we prefer not to have but in this case the events also show in the widget.

Please let me know if there is a way to get the widget to display correctly.
