On my website I use several plugins. Such as subscribe for the newsletter and a login box. The plugins are only accessible by using a widget in the sidebar. Does anyone know how I can place the functionality of the widgets in a page so that I don’t have to use the widgets in the sidebar?

You just use exactly the same technique used for sidebars in a page template.

I like to have the functions right into the page and not in the sidebar. I still don’t know how to do this. Can you explain it to me?

A sidebar doesn’t have to be, literally, a column on a page. In this context, it’s any area on a WP page that is widget-capable. Grab a copy of Purple Pastels from the Theme Repository and have a look at the page-widget.php template and you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks a lot. I’ve download it and looked to the page-widget.php. But I am not much of a programmer so I haven’t figured out how to add this functionality to my website yet. What is the code that I have to add? Or do you know where I can find some more information so I can figure it out myself?
