I have searched the forums, but I haven’t been able to find a simple answer for this. It seems that the kubrick theme fits nicely around a kubrickheader.jpg that is 760 x 200 pixels. Say I want to “widen” things up a bit and use a header image that is 800 x 150. What other images should I resize, and what do I need to modify in the theme files (css, php) to get everything to fit back nicely around this. I’d like to keep the same width on the sidebar and give all the extra width to the main left area.

    You dig?

  • Hm.. I’ve been googling for a solution to the same problem.

I like to embed Flickr images into posts. They automagically-genetrate ‘Small’- 240px, and ‘Medium’- 500px. Medium is great, but the Kubrick theme distorts it. Kubrick squishes it into 450px.

This is bad, as I think it’s done by the browser.. and it’s not antialiased, and the aspect ratio isn’t respected.

Anyways, the solution is to whip out the spanner and widen Kubrick some. Can anyone help us? Even just some pointers as to which files to edit would help greatly- I had a go at it with Firebug, and more or less just confused myself.
