Which WordPress Version am I Using? | WordPress.org

I’ve looked at a few other threads dealing with this topic and still haven’t been able to solve my problem. How can I find out which version of WP I’m using? Please explain this as if you’re talking to a three-year-old–I really am that inexperienced!

It will tell you the version number in the lower right corner of your admin screen once you log into your dashboard. Reference: Dashboard Screen > At a Glance

It’s not there. Because it says, update to WordPress 4.3

I’m having the same problem. In my Dashboard / At a Glance it says WordPress.com running Emire theme.
When I View Page Source, it says meta name="generator" content="WordPress.com" /
When I View Page Info, it says the generator is WordPress.com.
Suggestions? Thanks.

Depending how you installed your site, there may be a readme.html that will have the version number in it.

Try going to yourdomain.com/readme.html and see what comes up.
