You don’t need to find a directory to activate a theme. If you’ve uploaded the theme to the correct location via FTP, then it will show up in WP Admin -> Presentation
Thanks. I understand. i just realized that a new theme is now there, but it says it is broken. Needs stylesheet?
Not sure why only part of it transferred. I’m getting closer.
Yes, a theme usually has several files. The style.css file must be there for WP to even notice the theme, but the other files need to be there also or the theme won’t work.
Did you unzip the theme before uploading?
Yes i unzipped. Anyway, based on your comment and my finally realizing that indeed something had transferred, I went back to FTP client and did it all again and voila!
Now I can get to work on what I started 4 or 5 days ago.
