What Fresh Hell is Formatting

I just upgraded to the lastest version of WP and am having endless nightmares with coding. Sometimes the code window will freeze, sometimes it ignores and erases codes in switching to View mode (especially paragraph codes), and a lot of the time it put codes in that it doesn’t display, such as line spacing and font size codes. It’s been a crapshoot to get them out. This last one is most troubling, as it’s impossible to edit codes I can’t see.

If you scroll down to just under the 2nd photo, there is text (“Now I think I recall”) that is hyperlinked that should not be. “Treacle” should be hyperlinked and is so, with the correct link, but of course it blends in with the previous text so anyone clicking on any word but ‘treacle’ will click on the wrong link. The erroneous hyperlink is attached to the photo, but does not show in Code view or in View/Source (from the Windows drop down menus) that it is.

Are these bugs in the program? Is 2.3.3 incompatible with IE 6.0? Because it is driving me nutzoid.
