My site redirects from the home page to the homepage and ?doing_wp_cron=1346100171.6401600837707519531250 I found a few threads that talk about it but everyone says it’s because of BackUp buddy? I don’t have that, never changed the html or code and all of a sudden that shows up. Now my homepage has a “404 error” message on it. My host couldn’t help me at all..waited 6 hours for them to tell me that. HELP!!!! This is my work website and it needs to be up asap.

    Thank you!!

  • Can you please list the plugins you do have installed and what them you are using?

    Sure.

    Installed:
    Akismet
    All-in-one Event Calendar by Timely
    Comment Reply Notification
    Google Analytics
    Hello Dolly
    Jetpack by WordPress
    Stout Google Calendar
    Wordpress Importer
    WP Super Cache
    WP Widget Cache

    Activated:
All widgets except for Hello Dolly and stout google calendar

The All-in-one Event Calendar by Timely calls the wp-Cron function, I would suggest deactivating this plugin and and see if that fixes the redirect. If no I would disable all plugins and see if it is a plugin.

Thanks, Lee! I’ll give that a shot and let you know if it works.

    Hi Katy,
Just checking to see if the resolution worked for you?

Yes! It was the all-in-one calendar. Thank you.

Is there a better calendar to use that won’t do that? It also screwed up my homepage a bit for some reason and my website’s homepage now goes directly to the blog section of the site. It never did that before and I didn’t change those settings. How can I get the landing page back to the homepage?

I read that it was the latest release of the all-in-one calendar that has the bug you can download an older version from Here I would check this doc Here for setting a staic page as your home page. What is your URL and I can see if there is anything loaded that might affect the home page.

Yes, got the landing page back to normal. For some reason two of the blurbs on the bottom with the 4 pictures, as well as the four pictures, have completely dissapeared but I can quickly change that back.

Thank you for your help, a lifesaver!

Really quick, is 1.8.2 the version with the bug or an older version?

Yes I believe that 1.8.2 is the culpurt I would download 1.8.1 and see if it causes the issue. Remeber to make a quick backup before installing it so you can easily restore it if it has the same issue. As for the images at the bottom there is no image defined you will have to re-apply them.

    div class="attachment-fadeIn" style="display: block;">
    <img alt="" src="">

Im glad you are getting it all worked out.

    Katy,

Hold the last thought after reading the Time.ly website forums there are also alot of complaints that SEO is also messed up due to the url rewrite that is used. What are the main features of the calendar you are looking for? This way I can try to find calendar that will help you, or write on if need be.

Just something simple, clean and can post all the information for an event that needs to be added. Nothing too complicated.

Tripwire wrote a good article on calendar plugins that might have a solution for you. Some have alot of features
