Sounds like a CSS problem, Does it do it if your default templates are active , also do you have any plugins installed ? If so disable them to see if that resolves the issue , if it does then you know its a plugin conflict
No plugins. Changed themes. NO text.
Have you tried:
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
20-11 theme???? have a link??
will reupload and post my results.
thank you
Installing the new theme as I type this.
Just noticed that the default theme has the same error, but it gave me a little blurb:
Broken Themes
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Name Description
default Stylesheet is missing
Now, how odd that out of ALL the files, the one missing is the stylesheet!?!?!?
It doesn’t mean that other files aren’t missing too. The check stops at style.css if that file cannot be found. My guess is that something/someone has deleted files in wp-content/themes.
Ok, this gets even weirder. On my netbook , nothing shows and you cannot add a category . Netbook uses Windows 7 Home Premium. (I should correct that. No TEXT shows. In two places you see a red squiggly line).
On my new iPad , text shows! Add Category won’t work, though.
I haven’t found an FTP program for the iPad so I can’t delete index.html to see if the page shows with a theme. Tomorrow …
Why will it show on a different OS??
BTW, no one else has access to my sites so missing files came that way. Or, rather, didn’t come at all!
I installed twenty-eleven and my post shows up on the website but not in the admin area when using mt netbook.
How now!?!?!? Told ya it was weird! It’s either the OS or the machine
Still no solution? My site is live but I still can’t update on the netbook. This is a serious issue as I can’t scroll down, for example, through categories.
