Weblog Running Slow

    Hi,

    I’m a bit of a technophobe – my blog (www.lifeinabreakdown.com) seems to be running very slowly of late.

    I am running the following plugins:

    Akismet
    Blogger Importer
    Broken Link Checker
    CommentLuv
    Google Analytics for WordPress
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Redirection
    SEO Blogger to WordPress using 301 Redirection
    Shareaholic | share buttons, analytics, related posts
    Shopbop
    Twenty Eleven Theme Extensions
    Ultimate Nofollow
    WordPress Meta Robots
    WordPress SEO
    WP Smush.it
    WP Super Cache

    Any advice would be great.

    Go to the above link and click on the recommendations which are marked as of high priority.

    In a nutshell, by reducing the overall page size (currently 2.41 MB), optimizing images, specifying image dimensions, reducing requests (from 171) etc. you can improve your page load speed. Start working on the report.
