Warning – Not a separate Database

    This has worked fairly well for us but…
    My staging site was messed up and after checking the wpconfig file I restored the database BUT wp-stage uses the same database as your site and adds tables within.
    If you restore a backup you will also overwrite your main site losing whatever was done in that time frame.

    Hi,

    If you restore a backup you need to take care not to overwrite the prefixed staging tables. Or at least to backup them as well and restore them later.

    It’s mentioned in the description of the plugin that there is no separate database used but thanks for the feedback:)
