Morning Steve;
Did a quick test on webpagetest.org, and the autoptimized JS
has a Time to First Byte: 201 ms and Content Download: 197 ms for 42.7KB), both of which don’t seem unreasonable to me (and both actually entirely depend on your webserver, as the autoptimized JS is a cached, static file). This is similar to WPFC’s optimized CSS-file (Time to First Byte: 192 ms, Content Download: 420 ms for 52.5KB).
