Visual editor is not working on the two websites that my friend and I run. For me if I get on Firefox it works fine but for him if he get son it doesn’t . Then on Chrome its not working for him or me. Not sure what is up but it seems like Word Press is glitching.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

lol it’s not a plugin issue and it’s not the theme issue either. This started happening the other day and I think it is due the problems with wp update 4.2.

Responding with ‘lol’ to a proper support response is not going to help you get support here. James has helped very many here as a volunteer as well have I.

James’ response is a standard and well known manner of discovering issues. Please follow it, and for more help on Troubleshooting WordPress see this:

The reason we ask to revert to no plugins and default theme is to rule them out. You could, after doing so still have some site issue and that would point to a core WP or server issue.

Okay thank you. I will try it but I don’t thin kit is and I’m sorry if my post came of as rude it wasn’t meant to be.

I tried both but neither worked. Hmm I wonder what it is.

Can you please provide a site url for use to review?

Also, try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

And, keep in mind that while you think it may be a core WordPress issue, there are millions out there running 4.2 without this issue, so please do keep an open mind when we ask you to try things.

We have done that with the Full House website but don’t dare do it with GMW. I think it is something with wordpress. The website URLS are fhsequel.com and bmwsequel.com

Just an update it is working now that we got the 4.2 update for WP to work. I knew that is what had to be! Thank you all for the help.

James I have the same issue with my visual editor..it is blank. I have tried other browsers and it’s the same issue. I have de-activated all my plug-ins and it didn’t help. I tried re-installing the new update and the issue is still there. You mentioned above something about deleting then replacing everything except…

The thing is I am totally un-techy and I’m not sure what you mean by that. Could yo help me please with pretty specific detail. I’d really appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Marianne

Oh yes and I’m using the Prana Pro theme
