There might be a plugin that does something similar, but you’re better off with something like Akismet or Spam Karma. That way your visitors don’t have to mess around with entering codes and such, and you still get top level spam protection.

Has anyone noticed any issues/conflicts w. using BB/SK2 AND Akismet together?
I already use the first 2 & just activated Akismet in the hope it can catch spam registrations that the first 2 plugins aren’t foiling.
This change to wp-register.php provides visual confirmation, to try and prevent automated registrations.
