Hi @alanabbb,
I hope you’re well today! π
It sounds like you probably have some rules there that are allowing those pages to be viewable. Sometimes that happens when you make a negative rule that negates them but a positive rule that still allows them somehow.
Could I ask for screenshots for the rules for one of the membership levels where those “should be” restricted?
Perhaps using one of the following free services:

Thanks,

Hi David,
I have checked and double checked the rules. Please see attached screenshots. The rules have already been changed. I have set ONLY negative rules for visitors. my website is http://www.safetyneteducation.com
I’m waiting for your response.
Thank you for helping me.

Hi Alana,
Thanks for your followup. When you go to Membership > Options, for the “Use membership level” setting, do you have that Visitor level set there?
Also, do you have Membership enabled at the main setting page at Membership > Membership?
Looking forward to getting this sorted for ya! π
Cheers,
David
Hi David,
Yes I do have membership enabled and I also have visitor level set.

Hi there
I am just following up the threads.
FYI, I was just trying to check the pages but none of the pages are not loaded in my end.

http://www.safetyneteducation.com/parents/
Did you set a page for protected page?
Cheers
Ash
Hi Ashok,
I’m not sure why the pages aren’t loading at your end. I’ve just had 3 people check and they are working fine for everyone else.
Also what do you mean by ‘set a page for protected page’?
π Alana
Hi Alana,
There should be a “Protected content page” set here:
http://www.safetyneteducation.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=membershipoptions&tab=pages
That would be the page that users are directed to if they don’t have appropriate access rights.
Could you let us know how that’s set?
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
I have included screenshots of my settings and also of the page that users are directed to if they don’t have appropriate access.
Looking forward to getting this sorted out.
Thank you

Hi Alana,
Thanks for posting those. I’m officially stumped as to what might be the issue here.
If you wouldn’t mind my having a look at your site through an admin login, I’ll be happy to see what I can do to sort this.
If so, you can send a message through our contact form here:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/
You can select “I have another question”, then in the subject type “ATTN David”, then for the message post a link to this thread along with the login details.
If that won’t work for you, no worries. We’ll just keep digging into things here. On that note, have you tried, the following option?
Use membership level: “None – no access to content”
It’d really help to know if that restricts access to your site. If not, then there’d have to be something inhibiting Membership from working outright. I’m sure we could sort that from there.
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
When you see this post please contact me immediately! It’s extremely important.
Warm Regards
Alana
Hi Alana,
As I’ve spoken with you by email and checked out the site in its current state to confirm it all works, could I just double-check with you here that it’s all working fine?
We shouldn’t need further access to your site and will refrain from doing so unless specifically requested by you.
Awaiting your confirmation. π
Thanks,
David
Just wanted to post an update here for those experiencing any similar trouble. This issue had to do with an odd occurrence in the database, where the Access Levels somehow got duplicated.
This was noticeable in the settings page when selecting a level for Strangers. Duplicate levels were showing there.
We were able to delete one of the existing levels, at which point the other duplicates showed up and we were able to delete the rest.
Everything else seemed to sort out nicely with that fixed up.
Hope that helps others. π
Cheers,
David
