Video Players

I’m beyond frustrated. I’ve tried dozens of plugins, but they simply don’t work.

I’m trying to play my own video files at my website, but only one plugin will actually detect the video file and play it. I think it’s called Stream Video Player. The problem I have with this player is you can’t skip to other parts of the video. It makes you start from the beginning every time you click on it.

I want to get a video player plugin that will play my .flv files, but they simply won’t detect the files on my server. What gives? Why are there so many plugins for this that simply won’t work?

Also, what’s with those plugins that don’t give you an insert icon or short code instructions?

Can anyone tell me why 99% of the plugins won’t detect my video files? I store them at /wp-content/uploads.
