Video on mouse hover

Hello,

I’ve been trying to figure this out for while but I seem to get stuck at the same place.
I’m trying to have a video play on the hover of a featured image of the blog item.
These blog items are displayed on the home page.

I could get the javascript to play a video, but I have no idea how to get the video link from the post. This is where I get stuck.
I tried using the plugin featured video plus, but if I use the shortcode for that, it only shows text instead of the video.

I tried some custom javascript to start playing the video, but I can’t find the video to play. How do I get that information?

Any help would be much appreciated!
