Version 7.4 is breaks the site when SVG images are used on a page. For every image on the page, I am getting a ton of errors. So, unfortunately, I have to disable the plugin for now:

@vfontj @sergc @hipopotesis v7.4.1. of Yoast SEO is expected to solve the following issues:

    * Re-adds wpseo_opengraph_image_size filter. This will completely override any automatic size determination our code does. This filter now also applies to all ways an og:image can be determined: In the content, as a featured image or as set in our Facebook image setting.
    * Fixes an unintended backwards-incompatible change which caused “Warning: Illegal string offset ‘url’ in”.
    * Fixes an unintended change which caused SVGs to be included in consideration for the og:image tag. SVG images are not allowed by Facebook, so these should never be used in the og:image tag.

Could you please update and test if the issue (preferably in a staging website with all plugins deactivated and a default theme) still occurs for you to see if we should reopen the issue?

@amwest97 @ajohnclark If you are encountering issues with a plugin conflict or MySQL, could you please open a new topic if it isn’t related to the errors as described above.

@cahalk Since you have a premium subscription for the Yoast WooCommerce SEO plugin, please feel free to contact us directly at support@yoast.com.

@amazemedia with Yoast SEO v7.4.1, can you please advise what error you are encountering? If it is not related to the errors above, we suggest opening a new topic or thread.

I am experiencing this issue on my site as well. I tried updating the plugin, but I still see the ugly errors on the front-end, along with my visitors. Not cool….

    Hi @mikes41720,

I´ve upgraded to the 7.4.2 versión of Yoast, and it seems for me to work perfectly. I can´t find any issues in any of the site´s pages, so I guess that for me, it´s solved.

Thank you for repairing it so fast.

    Best Regards,
    Abdo López

We apologize for any inconvenience. We have discovered a situation when unexpected arguments are being passed, this error occurs.

However, our developers have already fixed the issue and are expected to be included the fix in the next version of Yoast SEO 7.5. You can find the relevant pull request in here.
