    Thanks for the read. Since the code in wordpress is modulated in differenct php/css files how do I know what file the code is in? Is the main site code located in index.php?

    You need to have a reasonable understanding of how the various template files within a theme create the final displayed page so that you can backtrack to the correct template file. The sub-section entitled “Anatomy of a Theme” in Theme_Development should help.
