Since all the issues with 2.0 came out, I rolled back to 1.9.13 and decided I would wait for several more releases to come out before trying it again, which I did with 2.0.17. However I still cannot even upload an image to my site. This is as fundamental a feature as there could be so I’m shocked and disappointed that this problem persists.
After I figured out there are features that needed setting, I retried it again and while I can get the single image and previous and next and close to show up the slide show do not work.
In IE8 the thumbnails images comes up as small squares whereas in Chrome they show up as thumbnail images.
Unfortunately this update still has a lot of bugs in it, so I may roll back.
I have not tried to upload yet.
I try to get it to work on a test site, but all I get is a single column of thumbnails, instead of a masonry gallery, I have never seen the lightbox work at all. And I keep getting 502 bad gateway errors, not being able to do anything with my site for a short period of time. Even with the last update!
I’ll just wait till the next update… 🙁
Interesting as I get the thumbnails to show up nice while using chrome, however, in IE8 just very small boxes.
I’m not sure what eh lightbox is supposed to look like so I can say I do not have this working either, but I’ve been trying to get the slide show to work and no luck with it.
How can an update be so badly written to have so many features that do not work?
I tried the earlier upgrade (2.0) on my website, http://www.rockyforkformulas.com, and the slideshow did not work. Tried the latest release assuming the slideshow would work. It doesn’t.
Is there some magic setting to get the slideshow to work on the main page without going out to a different page?
I’m leaving the non-working page up for a while so the developers of Nextgen galleries can find out what the problem is, then I’m going to revert to a working version.
OK, just upgraded to the latest version (2.0.21) and the slideshow still doesn’t work on the home page. Works on the slideshow page.
