Using Tables in Posts

Is there a way to use tables in a post without doing the code by hand?

I recently tried to copy & paste a 5 column x 18 row Excel table into my post & it wreaked havoc. I had to delete the post.

I almost had it, but needed to resize it (width) & it reverted back to the catastrophe stage so I deleted it once more & reformatted the whole thing into a line by line posting.
