Using Mamp on two computers

I have Mamp Pro installed on my macbook and everything works locally. However, I would like to move the website, files and database onto my imac where I can develop it more easily on a bigger screen. I downloaded Mamp Pro, installed it etc.
I then moved all the htdocs files across, exported and imported the database respectively.
The home page loads on localhost:8888, but all the other posts and pages just show a 404 not found screen. Completely white with

Not Found

The requested URL “/category/the-foodie/” (e.g) was not found on this server.

Can anyone help me?
Let me know if anything needs clarification…
