Users can’t post stories

    WordPress version 1.5

    They can write the story but can only see an option to save it. If they do this the story then arrives in my admin area in draft form. I can then publish for them.

    My admin settings appear to say that any registered user can publish a story. I know some of them have been giving bogus email addies tho – could this be related?

    In your admin settings under Options, Writing, New registered members May publish articles is checked?

    If yes, then make sure under Users, Authors&Users, that the ‘authors’ in question are set at least to User Level 2.

    ah that’ll be it – level 2. the pre-upgrade members are still at level 1.
