User role setting

I just set up self registration and I was wondering where I can set it up. Right now, when your register THE USER can choose if he wants to be an author, subscriber etc.

I basically want that new user have to register and then they are allowed to post on my blog. They should not have any more rights. How or where can I set that up? I am probably blind but I can’t find it….
