Hey Luke! Sounds like your database migration didn’t work as it should. If customers are seeing orders that are not supposed to be linked to them, it sounds like that’s where the problem lies. How did you import/export your site?
Hi iMazed,
thanks for your reply. I did not see it earlier due to time difference.
I used the staging feature from my hoster that basically duplicates everything so I have a second website. Once I am done with my modification, I set my staging website to “live” which replaces the original site.
To prevent losing the orders, I exported the orders with a plugin, then imported them again. This might be the culprit?
Is there a way to “clean up” the database to have it working again?
Does anyone have a solution, please?

To be certain, you exported from the what was live site and imported into the staging site, correct?
Also, do you update the users who have access to the site? If user accounts were created on the old live site, then you’ll need to add these users to the new site and make sure their orders are connected.
Yes Dustin. That is correct.
I had a look at the users. They are on the new site as well. How do I connect the orders to the users or disconnect false orders?
Hi there!
If you edit an order you can assign/change who the order was made under under “Customer”.
That way you can assign the correct customer and unassign the incorrect one (either to the correct one or to perhaps your account to remove the order from their account).
If you have downloadable products in the order, don’t forget to regenerate download permissions (under Order Actions, top right) after saving.
Hope that helps!
