I run a website for local artists and would like to offer members a page through which they can upload their pictures to the site for me to deal with later. I’m not brilliant and WP yet but even I know that I obviously can’t just slap an “uploads” page on the site as I’m sure that would be thought of as not-particularly secure and a good way to get my site – and possibly web-host – attacked; right?

But then I don’t really want to have to have every member create their own login just to do so. (Many of them are older and not particularly good with the internet,)

So, can I make a secure page instead and just send out a password to all members; changing it regularly? How would I implement this?

    Any other ideas welcome.

    Thanks.

  • There was an older plugin called PhotoSmash, which did this. I’m sure there are others.

Why has no-one mentioned this functionality is built right into WP?! 🤦‍♂️😊
