Upgrade.php issue with wp-settings.php

Upon running the “/wp-admin/upgrade.php” file:

I get this error page:

Warning: require(/home/burnjam9/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/burnjam9/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 202

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/burnjam9/public_html/wp-includes/compat.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/burnjam9/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 202

Any ideas? I searched for errors with that file on that line, but didn’t find anything.

The old version installed on my server was 2.x, I can’t recall which, and the install is the current 2.5.1
