I need help restoring my e-commerce page. After updating some plugins and deleting the cache, my page broke. I attempted to restore it using UpdraftPlus, but received an error message (Error 524). I’ve tried to find a solution on my own, but I’m not very familiar with this field and haven’t been able to find a solution that matches my level of knowledge. Can someone please help me understand what steps I need to take to get my page back up and running? I can’t afford for it to be down for long. Thank you in advance!

Hi,

The 524 error is related to Cloudflare, can you try paying Cloudflare using this guide: https://developers.cloudflare.com/fundamentals/get-started/basic-tasks/manage-domains/pause-cloudflare/

I pause Cloudflare in my account and switched off Cloudflare in WP Rocket Add-ins. But still they show the same error code 524

Do I need to change Nameservers too?

UpdrraftPlus asked me to delete old folders and then in process showing – A timeout occurred Error code 524. Please help!

Hi,

Can you delete the old files manually via FTP? You can find the old files in the wp-content directory and has a -old suffix. Once deleted kindly test a new restore.
