Updating Plugins generates ‘Memory Size exhausted’ Error
-
I have the following Problem:
Whenever I try to update a plugin or theme, the update is completed successfully, but I receive the following errors:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /www/htdocs/w0197192/domain.de/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfConfig.php on line 648
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 135168 bytes) in /www/htdocs/w0197192/domain.de/wp-includes/pomo/streams.php on line 118
Additionally, both Updraft Plus and BackWPup are unable to generate Database Backups (the Rest of the Backup works fine).
I have tried disabling different plugins in troubleshooting mode and surprisingly, once about half of the plugins are disabled, BOTH Plugin-Updates and Database-Backups work without errors (while still in troubleshooting mode). It seems, however, that there is no specific plugin that causes the issues, once it is activated.
I have already increased the Memory Limit to 512 MB due to problems with white screen some time ago.
Thanks so much in advance for your advise!!
