I appear to be using WordPress 225 (per the description on Dashboard) – is there any way to update to the newest version of WordPress without losing my site?

Yes. Always back up all of your files locally through FTP. I like Filezilla. Just download and backup your files just in case.

Login to your wordpress dashboard and just update wordpress.

The version I have does not have a “Update” button to press, so I have nowhere within Dashboard that I can find to execute the update… is there another way to do this?
