update wordpress plugins on local server

    Hi Everyone,

    I have installed my wordpress on my local server. It is working fine.
    I have net connection also. When I want to install any plugin from the admin plugin section, It asks me the ftp details.
    As I am working on the local server is it possible to update or install any plugin directly from the admin..??
    Please suggest me

    You can just download the plugins, unpack them and drop them into the wp-content/plugins folder.

    Thanks for reply, but it is from the files, Is there any way to do it directly from admin. If you know any technique please revert.

    There’s no way to do this via the Admin area unless you, effectively, set up an FTP server. What web server software are you using?
