Update Services not available

Under “Options, Writing” I don’t have the Update Services feature. I am not sure if it has been moved (I cannot find it), or I am just losing my mind. This is a new blog at wordpress.com but I have another wordpress blog at my own domain and it contains this feature. Are wordpress.com hosted blogs different?
