Update plugin overwrite SEO content?

Hi all

I had the older version of the plugin installed with meta content added.

I tried to install the new version of the plugin in the live site but I get a request for the ftp host, password etc.

I don’t have this information so I wanted to install the plugin locally then push it through the pipeline to update it on the live site. Will this overwrite the content on the live site.

I tried to export the content from the live site and import it into the local site that has the new plugin but it doesn’t seem to work.
