Hi abhishek813,
Can you run a fresh backup, make sure it completes without error, download it, and then compare the size of the downloaded file to the file size reported in the plugin?
Just to make sure it downloaded fully.
Beyond that I will need to see the ZIP file to find out the problem so if it’s 20MB or less and you are willing to email to us or upload to an FTP we can take a look.
Jason.
I have tried to download it multiple times from the page your plugin provides and each time i get a file whose different from the backup. The backup size is 106.59MiB on the plugin page and when i download it, it shows up as a 109,144 KB. I tried to uncompress the file and again got the Unsupported compression method.
Any more suggestions?
Hi,
When you say each time different. Does the size you have when downloaded appear differently each time? Or is it the same size downloaded each time, just different to the plugin reported size?
Are you generating a new backup each time you download and compare?
Jason
I tried to download the backup several times and twice the downloaded file had a size of 50mb while the one of the site had a size of 106mb and the other time the downloaded file was of 109 mb.
I have not tried to generate a new backup everytime i try to download. I did take a new backup and thats what i tried to download different times.

Can you try using a different internet browser to download the file? Or try downloading on a different computer on a different internet connection?
It is very odd it is not letting you download the whole thing. It does seem something unrelated to the plugin since the download is done by your host – we just make the file and make it downloadable.
If you are willing to give us the file you can email support “at backup-technology.co.uk and reference this topic, we can provide FTP details and check the file over. We can then tell if it been corrupted or if it just not downloading properly.
