Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request

    Have been using WordPress since June. Managed by mistake to cancel my hosting agreement with Godaddy (not only my fault)and they immediately wiped out my entire blog.

    Am now putting it online again. 17.9 managed to do so but got /wordpress at the end of my URL. Wanted to get rid of that and Godaddy suggested uninstalling and then installing WordPress again. So I did. But after that, regardless of if I have /wordpress at the end or not, I can not add plugin, change theme, install settings for Intense Debate since all I keep getting is An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.

    Tried changing timeout from 5 o 30 – but I probably did something wrong since it had no effect whatsoever.

    Does anybody know what to do to fix this? Can Godaddy fix it for me in my hosting account?

    Would be grateful for any help.
