Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
I had a “add link to Facebook” plugin that was deactivated sometime around the time the issue was happening. That plug-in works exclusively with post. I tried deactivating the plug-in, yet the problem persists.
If I click the back button I can get a hold of all the admin menus again. Just click on “edit” post creates that blank screen. “quick edit” doesn’t affect it at all. I am in the process of deactivating the plugins.
UPDATE: I disabled all the plugins and I still get the same issue as noted in the picture. The admin tools are showing up this time because the previous pic was an admin toolbar plugin that somehow was also affected by clicking on “edit” post.
Could this be a major WP bug issue?

Nevermind, apparently I hadn’t disabled all the plugins when I did a bullk disable, but only 1 page of 3 pages. Now that I’ve disabled them all, I am able to edit the post.
There are no known bugs of this type in WordPress 3.x, so this is specific to your installation. Did you try the other suggestions?
