• Okay. If you go to my site (http://memento–mori.org) you will see that the date is blue and the content start a line UNDERNEATH. How can I make it start right next to the date though? Im not having a < br > tag in between if you wonder…
    So. 2nd question is. When you click on ‘before’ at the bottom part and the older post appears how can I make the comments stop showing up underneath? Thats annoying 😐

  • Have you tried putting the date in a float? Only way I can think of to get the date and entry to display on the same line.

    Dont worry. I know you mean it nice. Not a problem at all 😀

    Nope. Just done a bit of research for you Kathie. The rule you need to declare in your style somewhere is display: run-in for the h2 selector. If you apply that to the date the text which follows will be on the same line. You will end up with the date in every post but heck; lets take one problem at a time.
    A lot of the usual css gurus are obviously off for the weekend 😉 Or they can’t do it!

    h2 {
    display: run-in
    }
    So thats what I would put inside my style.css file? Right? Well it didnt work. You know what: thank you so much for trying to help but Im giving up. Its not THAT important lol.

    Give up if you want! We are just getting started. In your div inhalt you start with a date. The date is not in any kind of container. It may validate but it is not semantic. My h2 suggestion momentarily overlooked the fact that your index is severely hacked. What I meant was what would have been the h2 if you had not deleted it. CSS is fun isn’t it? Love your blog.

    In the original index php we were supplied with the date is served up in the h2 tag. Straight off the bat that is stylable anyway we want in css. The date is not connected to one particular post. Then comes the filed under stuff. Then .storycontent. If we wrap it all in one new div somehow; we get control of all those elements. Then we style inline or run-in which is my preferred choice. Sadly I am unwilling to hack my own WP which I have installed locally to see how it might work. In the most general terms it should not IMHO be undoable.(sic)

    Go look (http://memento–mori.org) Are you proud of me now? 😀 heh

    Kathie – I and a lot of folks here are very proud and pleased for you. Thought the css gang nearly lost a talented designer. Bit of a way to go on separating those font tags the heck out of the xhtml but what the ****. All in good time. Nice work and I for one admire your perseverence.

    *blushes* eh uh. The funny thing is that I fucked up my livejournal now lmao. Dont ask me HOW I did it, it looked PERFECT already. Now Im waiting for my friend to send me her code 😐
