two questions

I didn’t really know how to title it, sorry for it being so vague! I do have two things I am trying to do and don’t know the slightest bit of how to go about doing them.

Is it possible to remove this completely and have the content of each page span that entire white space? If so how can I do it (Might wana give somewhat detailed instructions, I am fairly new to wordpress)

2: Is it possible to make a page WITHOUT having it linked under pages? I have a lot of small pages I want to link to from within other pags, but do not want them to show up on the pages navigation.
