Twenty Eleven Navigation (CSS) Help Please!

    Ok so for the twenty eleven theme I want to add a dashed border between each link.

    I have tried using left-border or right-border but it does not come out the way I want it. It comes out on both sides on the first or last link looks like this..

    example: | HOME | PAGE | PAGE | PAGE

    what i want is something like this

    example: HOME | PAGE | PAGE | PAGE

    I know a lot of people use the method I want but i just can’t figure it out.
