Hi @anaden,
I tried your logo image to upload to my test site. And everything works fine.
See these screenshots:
Since you’re getting something special, my guess, you have additional plugin or script that modifies your image in the background.
Can you try disabling all plugin temporarily while enabling troubleshooting mode and reupload your original image?
P.S. Use the Health Check plugin to enable troubleshooting mode from dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Troubleshooting.

Hi
Thanks for you quick response as ever.
I was running the Autoptimise plugin – have disabled it and now the logo shows OK.. but the page load is inevitably slower.
I contacted the plugin author who said “first and foremost try to identify what is breaking things by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be :)”
Not sure I know where to start.. can you recommend an alternative?
Cheers
Andrew

I think, you should find whether there is a setting to exclude particular image (that is site logo image) in Autoptimise plugin administration. Maybe, you will contact the plugin’s author to help with this, if you can’t find the setting.
