Hi there, I’ve just installed WordPress to my website (www.padraigstapleton.net).
It’s not coming up properly. I’ve installed it via Cyberduck on FTP on the root folder so no idea why this is happening. Can anyone help?

well you are actually installed in the wordpress folder
fix both url’s to refer to
dashboard – settings – general
http://www.padraigstapleton.net/wordpress
blog should look good now

to move it to root
http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Within_Your_Site

Hello, i went on your site and the css is missing (http://padraigstapleton.net/wordpress/wp-content/themes/twentyten/style.css) i got a 404.
Try to remove all properly and to reupload all the files.

Got it, many thanks folks!

Problem was on the wp-config file. 3/4 of the way down…

/**
* WordPress Database Table prefix.
*
* You can have multiple installations in one database if you give each a unique
* prefix. Only numbers, letters, and underscores please!
*/
$table_prefix = ‘wp_’;

Change wp_ to wp1_

done!
