    Hi everyone,

    So i have been playing around with wordpress for a year now and decided to step it up a notch. i bought a premium theme and heavely modified it to include my own features.

    The website in question is Tripleavids.com , a place people can go to for the most populair youtube, vimeo, metacafe videos. I included a feature where people can “upload” (suggest) their own videos for a possible admission.

    My goal is to get the best categorised collection of videos on the web. My Question to you ?

    1, how does the site feel / look to you ?
    2, what do you think of the menus and categories
    3, what other features would you like to see ? (keep in mind it is not intended that everyone can upload their content without moderation to ensure the quality of videos we provide).
    4, is the ad placement annoying or ok with you ?

    Hi there.

    1. The sites not bad..just a bit bland…a bit too much white so feels a bit stale but not bad.

    2. As far as the menus, i can understand why you did what you did but, the smaller menu is TOO small. and on rollover, the dropdown menus are almost unreadable theyre so small. also, i think the menu area is too clutered. you should categorize the menu items better and put sub content under the appropiate item. for example, “video search” and “submit a video” dont really need to be there, especially video search since its already also on the right top sidebar area.

    also, the “follow us” area, you should pick one, you have a sidebar left AND right with almost the same thing…the design could be cleaner by omitting one of them and consolidating them both into one.

    Also, the footer, would be better if youd flush it to the bottom, as it stands, theres a big space/gap there and looks like…..unfinished.

    Also, the “LOG IN ” area is…almost gets lost with the ads you have up there, you need a better place to put it.

    its always hard to style so much content but. check out these 2 sites.
    if you take inspiration from these, your design and content (and henceforth your user base) will prolly grow

    Thanks alot for those observations,

    i wasn’t aware of the menus problem , turns out it has to do with the resolution. it is showing fine on this browser.

    that in combination with the footer (i totally agree it does look unfinished) means i have some css work to do !

    i’ll also see about integrating the floating socials on the side, as i noticed these also half disappear when the website is viewed in a lesser resolution.

    So , it has been a while and i’d like some feedback on the revisions i did.

    What i did :

    * fixed the current menu to be readable in all resolutions
    * Flushed the footer to the bottom
    * changed the social options
    * changed the background to be less bland with the main theme
    * removed the header advertisement

    What i still intent to do (working on it an thinking it through)

    * change Menu Style
    * change menu setup (categories)

    any feedback negative and positive would be very appriciated, so thanks in advance !
