Tried Bing…still not working
Hi,
Since the Google proxy code seems to have issues in the last few days, the solutions are:
1. switch to bing
2. make sure you are using the full version (currently 0.9.6.0)
3. go into translation mode – check that you don’t have yellow icons while you are not yet translated
4. if 3 is the case, use the option to remove useless translations
5. if all else fails, do some manual translationsGood luck
Hi there,
Yes same problem, the translation is not done, it keeps the original in the database instead of the translation.
I was wondering, does putting a Google translate API key will solve the problem ?
@smurffdu17 yes, it should, but I have not tested this in a very long while, if you get a key and it does not work, contact out support directly and we’ll make it work
Cool. I will do that, I will let you know on the forum.
Ps : thanks for answering that quick π
Hi- So I installed a version of transposh yesterday that came as part of a different software package- and I got my 5 languages up and translating no problem. Then I was prompted to upgrade to the newest version- which I did, and the translations are broken. The language icon and name changes, but the pages don’t translate. I deleted transposh and reinstalled, still the same results.
I also tried changing the search engines per the thread above, but still nothing… How can I get this to work again?
PS- I’m not very technical- and so in following your instructions above, I don’t know where “translation mode” is- I looked at all the tabs, and I don’t see anything yellow…
ThanksSame problem for me on multiple sites. I just put a ton of time into getting a multilingual site put together using Transposh – I have a deadline and now all translation functions are broken. It dos not seem as though anybody is really responding from Transposh. What is the problem?
I am having this same problem, but ONLY for Spanish. I am using the free version of Transposh version 0.9.6.. It allows 5 languages. I chose English, Espanol, Francais, Deutsch, Italiano.
English works.
Francais works.
Deutsch works.
Italiano works.Espanol does NOT work.
It appears that only the Spanish language translation is not working.
I noticed one curious thing with the Espanol translation that does not happen with any other language. The widget displays a drop down box, and below that, a check box with the text “Edit Translation” to the right of the check box.
If I select Espanol in the drop down box, the html entity for non-breaking white space appears between the checkbox and the text “Edit Translation”. This does not appear if I select any other language.@jlrshar – translation mode is below the widget, when selecting “edit transaltion”
@leonardshelby – The full version is also free, I suggest you upgrade as the wordpress version is not supported
@stadulis66 – I assume your problem was solved using the other channels, also – if you want a fast response, always. You have a paid support option.
I went to Transposh–>Settings. I checked the box for “Allow upgrading to full version from http://transposh.org, which has no limit on languages used and includes a full set of widgets”
Espanol still not working.
Hi,
Please make sure the upgrade was performed, if you still have issues, contact us via our site, and provide some test urls there (hopefully with an ability for us to actually check the translation)
How would I make sure the upgrade was performed?
