Trackbacks/Pingbacks Error

    Greetings…

    I’ve been using WP for last couple years, and recently the server died and I had to move to a new locale. All is up and working except the comments (left a different post) and the Pingback/Trackbacks. I’ve turned the Trackbacks “Off” to keep from getting loads of spam, etc. yet I’m still getting tons of them, 30-40 a day on a ton of different topics.

    Any helps is IMMENSELY appreciated. I’ve tried to figure it out for a couple weeks now…

    Upgrade today.
    v 1.2.1 is ancient and vulnerable to known exploits.
    You must upgrade first to 1.5.2 and if you then wish, to 2.0.2 (if you want to see something of how that looks, go here: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/index.php) and once you have upgraded to either you will have solutions you can use.

    I’d happily upgrade as long as I don’t lose all my custom settings… Will I lose them if I do?
