Total Functional Breakdown after RE-directing

After installing and using WordPress for the past hour (perfectly, it is great even for a novice like me!) I am now totally unable to edit my site. I can navigate the admin page fine, and interact with all the tools, however when it comes to posting, adding pages, links etc. I get the “this page cannot be displayed” message. This happened immediately after I set my site’s redirect function to mysite.com/wordpress through my network provider’s control panel interface. I dont know if those two are related, however WP was working perfectly, and now I can’t do anything.
Any ideas?
