Total Cache error messages
-
My website, which includes my WordPress blog, was recently moved to a new server twice, first because my service provider was moving from Nevada to California, second because the server they put me on wasn’t working correctly with WordPress. So, after the second move I was unable to access the WP Admin area at all, getting either a blank page or an error message. On the WordPress support forums I learned how to deactivate all Plug-ins using FTP, and I did that. Then I could get to my Admin page. I thought I was set, but when I started reactivating plug-ins I kept getting error messages relating to Total Cache such as:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 491520 bytes) in /home/klein10/public_html/Blog/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/W3/ConfigKeys.php on line 1329
and an overall message at the top of the Admin page:
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/klein10/public_html/Blog/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/klein10/public_html/Blog/wp-content/db.php.W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/klein10/public_html/Blog/wp-content/object-cache.php.
Since Total Cache seemed to be causing the problems I decided to delete the plug-in. That didn’t help, I’m still getting the same error messages, and now I can’t activate any of my other plug-ins. Any suggestions would be welcome!
